1830's Day Dress - Cosetteby ~AVthreads

Artisan Crafts / Costumery / Costumes / Period & Historical

1830's dress based off of Cosette's dress in the 2010 production of Les Miserables, made so I can wear it to both the movie and to the US tour in the spring. I also drafted the pattern myself (which was a first!) which probably took more time than the actual construction of the dress. I also managed to find the fabric (it's practically perfect, and even has stripes which don't really show in the photo) almost 6 yards for $8 on clearance. What a steal! There's also a petticoat worn underneath the dress for extra volume in the skirt.

EDIT: also, this is now officially Rebecca Caine (OLC Cosette) approved! I sent her a picture via twitter, and I do believe I rather impressed her
