I'm starting to seriously consider going into theater costume design as a college major/future career, and figured I'd practice designing my own costumes instead of always redrawing Maria's (gorgeous) designs. So here I present my ideas and concepts from reading Gaston Leroux's 'Phantom of the Opera'! Feel free to give me critique/feedback, it's incredibly helpful!!

Christine's masquerade gown, which I think I would do in shiny/sparkly black fabrics and LOTS of beads/sequins!

Oh, I like this SO MUCH better than the one in the show! The show one is so poofy and has those HUGE sleeves that look silly to me... she also is in such a typical bight pink ;P but this looks stylish and pretty and like it fits with the story and time! I actually really like the idea of a black dress, great job! ^^

Ohmigosh, this is SO MUCH BETTER THAN THE ONE SHE WEARS IN THE SHOW!!! The one in the show is just beginning to get too outdated. (It looks '80s...) But this, THIS is gorgeous.

I like the dress from the show, but I've never really felt like it fit. The style just seems a bit off for being 1870s or '80s.

that's gorgeous !! I love how you made her domino dress, like in the book. I would kill to see this on the stage of Phantom !
that'd be awesome if you made raoul's domino too, to match with christine's :D
